Sideband Response
Ideally the intensities obtained for a line should be independent of the sideband to which the receiver is tuned during the observations. Deviations from this could indicate problems in the receiver, in the calibrator software, or in the atmospheric model used for calibration.
We monitored for APEX-2A the lines 12CO(3-2) and OCS304 in both sidebands.
Monitoring results
The following table gives the two lines we currently monitor this way, and their frequencies. It also shows the atmosphere in the signal and possible image bands, as well as monitoring results.
Line | Frequency [GHz] | Atmosphere | Time variation |
---|---|---|---|
12CO(3-2) |
