SEST Sun limit calculator

By far the most important thing to remember when observing with the SEST is the potential danger from the Sun. The control system will prevent you from tracking any object within 50 degrees of the Sun. This page was designed to estimate the period of the year when a source cannot be observed at the SEST due to the Sun limit restriction. It's useful as well in the preparation of observing time proposals.
