ON/OFF RMS estimator V6.0
Use this calculator for on-off observations. If you are planning on-the-fly mapping, you should instead use the dedicated OTF Calculator.
The (average) elevation of the source, the receiver temperature, an on-source integration time ,and the spectral resolution, the σ (in K) can be estimated.See the observing time calculation page for details. To use a coarser vel. resolution Δvnew than selectable multiply the resulting σ with sqrt(Δv/Δvnew).
