Simulating Altitude

To establish the best mechanisms that will improve the acclimatization to this sort of environment conditions and observe the behavior of human organisms in extreme working conditions, CETHA has an hypobaric Camera for 20 people that can simulate up to 5000 meters above sea level.

This is a complex instrument, developed by INDURA S.A., that simulates in an accurate way the lowest atmospheric pressure and lack of oxygen situation due to altitude. Its use has helped to define physiological behavior, such as anti-oxidation enzymatic level and molecules that represent some danger and alterations in the cardiac and pulmonary activity.
