Health evaluation before participating in physical activities programs

An exercise prescription must consider al least 4 purposes:

Ensure a participation without health risks

Even though programmed and regular exercise has demonstrated that the general morbimortality and coronary cardiopathy can be reduced, strong exercise increases the risk for dangerous coronary events.

Reduce the cardiovascular risk factors

There is enough proof nowadays that show the role of exercising in order to avoid the development and progression of chronic diseases such as artery hypertension, Coronary Cardiopathy, Mellitus Diabetes and Dislipidemies.

Promote life style changes

A grown up individual with a healthy life style (adequate food and exercise), diminishes in a considerable way the storage of body fat.

Improve the level of Physical Aptitude

A trained adult keeps many of the functional characteristics from younger groups. This delays the aging processes.

Objectives of The Health Exam

Identify the individuals who require a more complete medical evaluation before starting an exercise program. This is the case of all the individuals who participate on physical activities programs in altitude.
