Supplementing antirust agents in a diet (400UI Vit E +1000mgVit C/day x 2 months) Modifies cardio lung responses when acute exposure to altitude:

Blood saturation of oxygen decreases less (p=0,02)

The VRC increases (p<0,05)

Cardiac frequency increases less (p<0,05)

Alveolar ventilation increases more (p<0,05)

There is no catalasa enzyme activation (p=ns)

The maximum consumption of oxygen decreases less in altitude (p<0,04)

Recuperation of VO2 when reoxygenation is complete

Increases basal activity of catalasa enzyme in red corpuscle(60% higher, p<0,002)

Decreases the blood’s uric acid concentration (p<0,001)
