Hypothesis

Antirust agents can modify cardio-lung responses to acute exposure to altitude

Acute exposure to altitude involves the possibility of oxidative stress.

Design of the research

Simulated exposure to altitude (4500m, 440mmHg)

Exposure to real altitude (3700m, 495mmHg)
14 students were evaluated in a double blind research (antirust and placebo), resting and then maximum exercise, at sea level and in altitude and after two months of daily having a mixture of antirust agents (vit E 400UI + vit C1000mg) or placebo.
