As a result of research and the acquired knowledge, CETHA has established the following as part of its unit:

A clinical center for climbing diseases and related pathologies.

A physiological evaluation protocol for sport people.

Tolerance evaluations in the Hypobaric camera with help from the Centro de Exámenes Pre-ocupacionales in extreme cases

1998 - Presentation on "Anti-oxidants usage in altitude exposure". III World Medicine Congress. Japan.

1st prize for best free presentation at Congreso de Medicina del Deporte y Ciencias del ejercicio en Santiago, topic: "Anti-oxidants effect in the aerobic capacity in altitude exposure".

Course " Physiology, Exercise and Nutrition in Altitude" in 1998, altogether with the University of Antofagasta .

1999 - Book Publication: "Nutrition, Physiology and exercise in altitude"

Fondef research project "use of an anti-oxidant therapy to decrease the arsenic genotoxity and its metabolic action on highly exposed populations.

International course "Physical activity and Sport for the next millenium" altogether with the School of Kinesiología of the University of Antofagasta and Digeder II Region.
