Minimal APEX operations to be resumed in the next weeks

Since March 21st our observatory has been in survival mode, with a minimum team on site and only essential equipment running.

As recently communicated through the latest science announcement, ESO has concluded that it will be able to re-establish a minimum level of science operations at the observatory sites in the coming weeks, including APEX.

For our observatory this means having science operations for 8 hours a day and during night time only. We will be using SEPIA at frequencies below 500 GHz, and the possibility of adding nFLASH or PI230 is still under consideration. Science operations under these constrains are expected to start on Sep 23.
